W I P s that I can see...

What is a WIP?  Works In Progress.  I am a master at making WIPs not so good on getting any of them done.  These are but a few, you should see what my home sewing room looks like.  That being said I am going to get sewing on something today!  See you at the machine.

It's a Heat Wave......

Burning in my heart (you know the song).  So far it's been great beach weather this July.  I've been in my pool (picture a portly women floating in a  10 ft x 24" deep kiddy pool) or camping with the air conditioner blasting.

Here at Liberty Bell Quilts we are seeing lots of old friends as well as making new friends.  We are gearing up for the Amazing Quilt Race scheduled for August 13 - 20th (still have passports available).  Stop in and see us (the air conditioning is on) and then cross the street to enjoy an icy treat from the Blue Moon.

Stay Cool!!!

A New Kitten named J.B.

This little kitten lost her Mom right after she was born.  Diane came to the rescue and has been hand nursing every 4 hours. I 've been lucky and have had a chance to take care of her too.  She is now 3 weeks old and is doing well.  Kitten and summer can there be anything better?

Did someone say I Pad 2?

I got one for Mother'Day and my 30th wedding anniversary (because everyone knows that computers are the official 30th Anniversary gift). I am not a real technical nerd, even though I play a "Want To Be" in the movies, but I want the newest tekkie thing a ma jig anyways. Now that I've practiced my blog entering, I am going to go figue out how to post pictures. Until then keep enjoying the Spring

May Days!!!!

Yea!!!!  May is one of my favorite months.  It just happens to be the month my daughter was born 35 years ago. (I know, I know I look 40ish. How can that be?), Mother's Day (which also means I've celebrated being a Mother for 35 years too) May also signals the beginning of the summer season here in Leelanau county.  May 1st was the start of summer hours, we are seeing our summer friends coming in everyday.

The Quilts of Gee's Bend Kits are available.
This quilt is designed by Louisianna P. Bendolph.  Diane Speas pieced replica and quilted by Necia Bugai
Although I seem to be doing more STARTS and very little FINISHING, Diane has completed her Gee's Bend Quilt that she started on Mackinaw Island.  Liberty Bell Quilts carries Windham Fabric replica kits of Gee's Bend quilts.

Our shopping cart is coming along, thanks to Andy and Tyler (Judy's sons) helping to make the process a little (ok  LOTS) less confusing.

Enjoy Spring and all the flowers.
